Crawford Path is the oldest, most continuously maintained, recreational trail. It holds six miles of alpine environment and is part of America's first National Scenic Trail, the Appalachian Trail (A.T). If that is not enough to celebrate 200 years of being the most popular trail in the White Mountain National Forest, it is also the centennial of the White Mountain National Forest and the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act. That’s three celebrations in one event!
Join the Appalachian Mountain Club, the White Mountain National Forest, National Forest Foundation, and the White Mountain Trail Collective on Saturday, August 18th from 9 a.m to 3 p.m as they work to maintain and protect America's oldest continuously maintained hiking trail. This event will be hosted in White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire.
