Join the Mount Rogers A.T. Club for one of their weekly Wednesday work trips. Help the club with Appalachian Trail maintenance and spend a rewarding day alongside devoted A.T. volunteers to make a difference.
The work on the A.T. includes cleaning out waterbars, clearing fallen trees, and cutting back brush encroaching on the footpath. Tools, supplies, and training will be provided. The work-trip starts at 8:30 a.m and will conclude around 2 p.m.
Participants should wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and work gloves. Participants should bring lunch, water, a rain jacket, and sun protection. The specific meeting location will be announced closer to the work day.
