Arden, NC (April 20, 2012) – On April 26, from 5:30pm - 7:00pm, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) and the staff of Diamond Brand Outdoors will host a workshop on “Getting Ready for the Appalachian Trail” at the Diamond Brand Outdoors in Arden, NC. This workshop is free and open to the public.
This workshop is designed to provided useful information for people who are new to backpacking or who are interested in exploring America's most celebrated footpath, the Appalachian Trail (A.T.). Topics will range from how to prepare & pack meals, wearing the proper gear, and insider tips and advice on hiking the A.T.
