Public Relations Internship

Location: ATC Headquarters; Harpers Ferry, WV

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) is searching for a Public Relations intern to assist with its ongoing media efforts. This internship will offer some valuable experience with news and media relations in the non-profit sector. Guidance and training will be provided.

This individual will be responsible for:

  • Researching and updating media contacts
  • Drafting basic public relations materials such as fact sheets and stories concepts
  • Gathering information and drafting press releases 
  • Documenting and monitoring news stories related to the ATC
  • Other related duties assigned

Candidate should be a Marketing, Communications, English, or Public Relations major with strong writing abilities and a desire to learn.
