2011 Calendar
Deadline for submission is June 30, 2009Guidelines for photo submission: Submissions must be digital images or 35mm slides at a minimum of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) at 13 inches high, saved as a TIFF, EPS or Photoshop file. • The scene must be horizontal. • The scene should show the A.T. or be shot from the A.T. or, if taken from a distance, be of a recognizable landmark in the Trail corridor or management zone. Please identify the scene’s location as specifically as possible and the month of shooting on the slide mount. Lack of sufficient identification could disqualify a submission immediately, as would a submission of a scene clearly outside the Trail corridor. A letter with the submissions should state that they are for the 2011 calendar and provide the name, address, and daytime telephone number of the photographer; the identities of any persons shown; and a detailed description of each scene submitted, including its location and the month of the year it was taken. Photos containing people must be "model released," meaning that the photographer must have permission to publish a photo of the individual(s). The package should be sent to: 2011 Calendar Editor, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, P.O. Box 807 (799 Washington Street for non-USPS submissions), Harpers Ferry, WV 25425-0807. Please send all digital images in C.D. format.
