State of the Trail

Ridgerunners record information on water availability, shelter closings, bear activity and a myriad of information which can be important to hikers entering the area. In an effort to distribute this information to hikers before they get into the woods, ATC is recording ridgerunner reports as podcasts and posting them on the ATC’s website. These Podcasts will be about 5 minutes in duration and updated every two weeks. Along with a detailed summary of the ridgerunner information, these downloadable audio files will contain special features like interviews and A.T. Trivia. If you have a question about the podcasts or a suggestion for a special feature that you would like to hear, please contact Andrew at (828) 254-3708.
