Virginia A.T. License Plate

April 1, 2009 - The A.T. specialty license tag design is in production. DMV has notified ATC that applicants who have purchased an A.T. tag as part of our introductory promotion should receive their plates in the mail directly from the DMV in late May. For those applicants who have already renewed their existing tags, DMV will be including the appropriate date sticker for the new tag that reflects the remaining term on your vehicle registration.

For those Virginia residents who have not yet ordered a tag and would like to do so to show their affinity for and support of the Appalachian Trail, DMV will begin offering electronic sign-up on-line in late May.

ATC wishes to thank you for your patience as we have navigated this process with Virginia DMV. We continue to appreciate your support of the Appalachian Trail, its 6,000 volunteers, maintaining clubs, and ATC itself through your participation in this program.
