Ways to Give
|

Give StocksGifts of appreciated securities or stock are a quick and easy way for you to make a meaningful gift to ATC, avoid capital gains and receive a tax deduction for the fair market value at the time of the transfer. When making a gift of stock, please always contact your own financial planner before making the gift. Your broker will need this information on delivery methods to facilitate an electronic transfer of stock. *Please also let the ATC Development Office know of your intentions so that we might best serve and acknowledge you. The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this seal. ATC thanks the hundreds of people who support our work each year through payroll contributions in workplace giving campaigns. ATC is a member of Earth Share, a nationwide federation of the nation’s most respected environmental and conservation charities. To find out more about how you and your workplace can support ATC through an Earth Share campaign Visit Earth Share’s web site at www.earthshare.org. A.T. Specialty License PlatesSpecialty license plates for the Appalachian Trail are a way to support the ATC in its work to sustain the Trail into the future. With the purchase of a specialty A.T. plate in your state, a portion of the cost of the plate is returned to the ATC for its work to manage and maintain the A.T. While this program is not available in all states, an A.T. license plate on your vehicle is a great way to show your appreciation for the Trail each and every day.ATC Credit CardsAppalachian Trail Conservancy Platinum Plus® Visa credit cardMake your purchases in style – while receiving top quality benefits and service with no annual fee.
