Asheville, N.C. – The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), Warren Wilson College, and Trail Dynamics LLC are presenting a 2-day workshop on the design construction and maintenance of sustainable trails on May 3-4, 2008 at Warren Wilson College, Swannanoa, North Carolina.
This workshop is free of charge. Participants of this 2 day course should plan to provide their own food, and be sure to bring plenty of water. The hosts will provide tools and training equipment. Workshop instructor is Woody Keen, President of the Professional Trail Builders Association of America and owner of Trail Dynamics LLC. Woody has over 30 years experience in the trails business and is one of the leading authorities on trail sustainability in America
The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) is a volunteer based non-profit that manages, maintains and protects the 2,176 mile Appalachian National Scenic Trail, a 250,000 acre greenway extending from Maine to Georgia. The 80 year old ATC is dedicated to the training and safety of the thousands of volunteers that work on the Trail every year.
