Illegal ATV activity near Unionville and Vernon
Hikers can assist Trail-corridor law enforcement by reporting any illegal all-terrain vehicle (ATV) usage observed along the A.T. in the Unionville, NY and Vernon, NJ area. This section includes the Wallkill National Wildlife Refuge and the Pochuck boardwalk. If possible, note numbers of riders, model and color of ATVs, places where tire tracks enter/exit the Trail, damage, etc. Do not be confrontational -- just make notes, take photos if possible, and report your observations when you return home.
