Zoom to the area you are interested in by double clicking on the map. Each time you double click, the interactive map will zoom in and center on the spot on the map you double clicked. When you get to 5-mile scale, as shown in the lower left corner of the map, click the checkbox next to “Parking” found across the bottom of the map. A little bubble with a “P” in it will show up where there are parking areas at road crossings of the A.T. If you click on the “P” bubble, a window will pop up showing the name of the road or parking lot for this parking area and the size of the parking area.
This window also contains a box to enter a starting address. By entering a starting address in the text box and clicking the “Get Directions” button, you will get google map directions from the starting location you entered in the text box to this parking area.
