Workplace Giving

When you can't get out of the office, bring the Trail a little closer by designating the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) to receive a small portion of your paycheck through the Combined Federal Campaign. (#12230)

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this seal.

The ATC thanks the hundreds of people who support our work each year through payroll contributions in workplace giving campaigns.  The ATC is a member of the Independent Charities of America www.independentcharities.org.

City and State Employees

In addition to the CFC, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy participates in a variety of workplace campaigns as a member of Independent Charities of America (ICA) and Conservation and Preservation Charities of America.  We are usually included in these state campaigns:  AZ, CT, GA, MA, NJ, NC, PA, RI, VA, and WA. Please look for us in your workplace giving campaign brochure.

Private Company Employees

Check with your payroll administrator to see if the Appalachian Trail Conservancy is on your company's list of approved charities in your workplace contribution campaign.  If we are not listed, ask if you can write us in or have us added to the list.
