MYRON AVERY SOCIETY

The society is named for the longtime ATC Chairman and admiralty lawyer from Washington, D.C. Myron Avery in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s along with Arthur Perkins, spearheaded the on the ground effort to build the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.
